To Advice →What is a bowrider?
A bowrider is an open sports boat with extra seating at the front, in the bow. This means there is usually plenty of space on board for friends and water sports equipment.
What is the difference between a sports boat and a sports cruiser?
A sports boat is an open day boat built for speed and fun on the water, sometimes with a small cuddy for storage. A sports cruiser adds a cabin with berths, a galley and often a toilet, so you can stay on board overnight.
Outboard or sterndrive?
An outboard is light, easy to maintain and frees up space in the cockpit. A sterndrive (an inboard engine with a drive leg) sits under the sunbed, is quieter and leaves room for a large swim platform. Outboards are now common up to high power outputs; sterndrives remain popular on larger sports boats.
