A family business for three generations, from bowrider to sports yacht.
Regal began in 1969 as Regal Marine Industries, founded by Paul and Carol Kuck together with two investors. In 1971 the company moved to a new, larger factory in Orlando, Florida, and in 1976 the first boat went abroad, to Austria. Today their sons Duane and Tim Kuck run the company, and the third generation also works in the business. The head office and the yard are in Belle Isle, near Orlando.
Regal builds a wide range of motor boats with sterndrive, outboard engines and Volvo Penta IPS. The line-up runs from compact bowriders (LS and LX) and wakesurf boats (Surf) through express cruisers and XO models to Grande Coupe, flybridge and SAV yachts, with the 50 SAV from 2024 as the flagship. Characteristic features are the FasTrac and OceanTrac hulls, infusion construction on the larger models and the Ultimate specification, which lets buyers personalise their boat extensively.
