About Chaparral

American fibreglass boats: on course since 1965.

Chaparral was founded in 1965 by William 'Buck' Pegg and Reggie Rose, initially under the name Fiberglass Fabricators in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After a fire destroyed the factory in 1967, the company rebuilt itself and moved to Nashville, Georgia, in 1976.

Chaparral has a factory there covering some 93,000 square metres. The brand builds sports boats, ski and wake boats, and sports yachts. Since 2026, Chaparral has been part of MasterCraft Boat Holdings, alongside MasterCraft and Robalo, amongst others.
