What is the draught of a motor boat?
The draught varies depending on the model. On Water&Wind, the detail page shows the minimum draught specified by the manufacturer.
What draught do you use with a retractable keel or centreboard?
We base our calculations on the draught specified by the yard. With the keel or centreboard raised, the boat can often cruise in much shallower water.
Does the engine count?
The draught should include the propeller or motor tail. With an outboard engine, it depends on the angle; check this at the yard.
