The difference compared with the standard 29.1 lies in the weight and the keel. The displacement is 1,900 kilograms instead of 2,300, whilst the ballast ratio is actually higher at 39 per cent. The keel is fixed with a draught of 1.75 metres. This allows the boat to carry its sails for longer and accelerate more quickly.
The sail plan is the same as that of the 29.1: a 30-square-metre mainsail, a maximum sail area of 47 square metres with high-quality rigging, and a 60-square-metre furling gennaker.
The drive system consists of a 1.6 kW Aquamot Travel with a removable battery.
The boat falls into CE design category C.
