The fibreglass hull is fitted with floats with a tapered diameter ranging from 55 to 41 centimetres, distributed across six air chambers. The deck is self-draining and features eight storage compartments, which is a high number for a boat of this size. The layout comprises a centre console with a helm, a bench in front of it, a sun deck at the bow and a rear bench.
The propulsion system consists of a single petrol outboard engine with an L-shaft. The yard recommends 40 to 70 hp for normal use and permits a maximum of 97 kW, or 130 hp. The fuel tank holds 130 litres.
The unladen weight is 600 kilograms and the CE design category is C. The boat remains trailable when inflated.
The Coaster 580 Plus shares its body with the Barracuda 580, but has a different interior layout and a larger fuel tank; both are listed as separate models on the manufacturer’s website.
