The First 36 combines the thrill of high-performance sailing with on-board comfort, designed by naval architect Samuel Manuard and designer Lorenzo Argento. Weighing just 4,800 kg and fitted with racing-grade rudder blades, the boat responds instantly to every helm movement and effortlessly achieves speeds well into double figures – up to 14 knots on the jib alone – whilst remaining fully under control.
Inside, just as much attention has been paid to life on board, with a classic three-cabin layout and clever solutions such as a fold-away washbasin and a freestanding fridge island, which keep the cabin spacious without compromising on weight. As a result, the First 36 s equally suited to club racers, active cruisers and families – a balance that is rarely achieved so successfully in sailing.
