About Beneteau
A French yard with over 140 years’ experience, both under sail and under motor.
In 1884, Benjamin Bénéteau set up a yard for sailing fishing boats in Croix-de-Vie, on the French Atlantic coast. In 1909, he introduced the region’s first motorised fishing boat. In the 1960s, the third generation switched to fibreglass and the yard began specialising in pleasure craft. In 1995, Beneteau took over Jeanneau.
The range is extensive. Sailing yachts are available in the Oceanis and First ranges. The motor boats range from the compact Flyer and Antares to the Gran Turismo, the Swift Trawler and the Grand Trawler 63.
