That extra metre in length and the wider hull translate directly into more volume below deck. The steel displacement hull keeps the draught at 1.10 metres, and the vessel is classified as CE design category B, meaning it is suitable for both inland waterways and the sea. Aquanaut has been building this model since 2010.
The aft cabin defines the layout. The yacht features two cabins and four berths, and unlike the 1300 OK, there are two bathrooms on board. This means every couple has their own bathroom facilities, which makes all the difference on longer trips with guests. The aft cabin is also separated from the foredeck, which enhances privacy.
Under the floor lies a 150 hp Volvo D3 engine, which offers slightly more power than the 1200 AK and is suited to the higher weight. The tanks hold 500 litres of fuel and 500 litres of water. Overall, it remains a classic displacement yacht that relies on tranquillity, stability and solid steel construction, rather than speed.
