The hull measures 12.99 metres, the waterline 12.80 metres, and the beam, at 4.34 metres, remains modest enough to allow the yacht to be sailed by a small crew.
The deck saloon design gives this model its own distinctive character. From the raised seating area, you have a view of almost three hundred degrees, even in bad weather. Long hull windows and a wide deckhouse allow plenty of daylight in without compromising the structure’s rigidity.
When sailing close-hauled, the 42 carries approximately 89.50 square metres of sail; when sailing downwind, this increases to 171 square metres. With a lightship weight of 12,000 kilograms and 4,350 kilograms of ballast, the ratio is robust enough for rough seas. The standard version has a draught of 1.65 metres; a version with a deeper keel is also available.
The layout features an owner’s cabin with direct access to the deck, a fully-fledged galley and, depending on the version chosen, four to seven berths. The interior is finished in the customary French style, with lacquered veneer, leather and plenty of storage space at eye level.
