The hull length is 6.95 metres and the beam is 2.50 metres. The hull and deck are constructed from fibreglass. The buyer can choose between a T-shaped retractable keel with a draught of 0.36 to 1.50 metres and a centreboard with a draught of 0.28 to 1.40 metres. The ballast weighs between 250 and 350 kilograms and the total weight is between 1,280 and 1,500 kilograms. The cabin accommodates six berths.
For propulsion, the yard provides an 8 hp long-tail outboard engine. The sail plan is available in a standard and a high-performance version, with the high-performanceversion featuring a 16.00 square metre mainsail and a 12.00 square metre genoa, supplemented by a 32.00 square metre gennaker or a 36.00 square metre spinnaker-gennaker.
The S 22 is certified to CE design category C.
