About this boat
The Solaris 40ST is the square-top version of the Solaris 40. The hull is the same, but the rig has been adapted to accommodate a square-top mainsail. With this, the yard is targeting sailors who want to get more out of the mainsail without making the boat more difficult to handle.

The dimensions are the same as those of the 40: 12.36 metres overall, 11.70 metres at the waterline and 4.10 metres in beam. The standard keel depth is 2.40, with a shallow version at 2.00 metres. The deck is flat, with no superstructure, and the cockpit extends right to the open transom.
The sail area is 102 square metres. The mast triangle measures I 16.90 metres, P 16.50 metres, E 5.00 metres and J 4.70 metres, which differs slightly from the standard 40 due to the different mainsail profile. The inboard engine delivers 30 to 60 hp.
The weight is 9,400 kilograms with 3,050 kilograms of ballast, slightly lighter than the standard 40. The tanks hold 350 litres of water and 200 litres of fuel. For this version, Solaris cites RINA as the classification society, without a design category letter.
