The Solaris 40 is the smallest sailing yacht in the Flush Deck range from the Italian yard in Aquileia. It is a performance cruiser, designed for owners who want to sail themselves whilst still being able to undertake longer voyages with their family or a small crew.

The boat combines a sporty hull with a fully-fledged layout for living on board.
The hull measures 12.36 metres overall, with a waterline of 11.70 metres and a beam of 4.10 metres. The deck is flat with no superstructure, providing a continuous working surface from bow to cockpit. The standard keel has a draught of 2.40; a shallower keel version with a draught of 2.00 metres is available. Below deck there are three cabins and two bathrooms.
The sail plan comprises 100 square metres when sailing close-hauled, divided between a 57-square-metre mainsail and a 43-square-metre genoa. The mast triangle measures I 16.80 metres and J 4.70 metres. For manoeuvring, an inboard engine of 30, 50 or 60 hp is available, coupled to a saildrive.
The water tank holds 350 litres, and the fuel tank 200 litres. The displacement is 9,850 kilograms, of which 3,050 kilograms is ballast in the keel.
