The struts are adjustable, so that the effective beam can be tailored to the team’s weight. The hull is constructed from epoxy fibreglass with a foam sandwich core and weighs 68 kilograms unladen and 110 kilograms ready to sail, which, according to the yard, means that the rigging does not need to be particularly large to achieve high speeds.
There is no propulsion engine; the boat is powered solely by sail. The mainsail and jib together measure 16.5 square metres, with a 21-square-metre spinnaker for downwind courses.
