As the rigging is available in two sizes, both lightweight youth teams and adult crews can sail the boat effectively.
There is no propulsion engine; the boat is powered solely by sail. In the Dacron version, the mainsail measures 7.5 square metres and the jib 3.0 square metres; in the Mylar version, these measure 9.5 and 3.6 square metres respectively. Both carry a gennaker measuring 14 square metres.
