The Rhea 23 Open V2 is an open day boat with a neoclassical look, designed by Danglade with naval architecture by Joubert-Nivelt. The hull responds lively yet reassuringly, and the high gunwales provide protection on board. The deck is level throughout, allowing you to move about freely, even whilst fishing. The hull is constructed from glass-fibre-reinforced fibreglass.
With a hull length of 6.5 metres, an overall length of 6.9 metres including the platform, and a beam of 2.5 metres, the boat remains light and manoeuvrable. It weighs 1,200 kilograms and has a draught of just 0.4 metres, making it suitable for shallow waters. The outboard engine delivers 150 to 200 hp, and the yard quotes a top speed of 39.5 knots. The fuel tank holds 200 litres.
The C8 and D8 type-approval permits a capacity of eight people. With this model, Rhea is targeting, amongst others, first-time boat buyers looking for an authentic, characterful day-cruiser. Equally suited to a spontaneous afternoon on the water as to a slightly more ambitious coastal trip, and, thanks to its low weight, easy to tow and handle.
