The surf system uses approximately 1,130 kg of ballast, wave-shaping tabs and Volvo Penta's Forward Drive, in which the drive faces forward and pulls the boat through the water. Two 12-inch glass screens control surf settings, digital shifting and Garmin functions.
The cockpit has edge-to-edge seating, two adjustable UltraLounges, two fold-away rumble seats and a walk-through transom with a low swim platform. There is plenty of storage, including a compartment for a Yeti 45 cool box and space for up to 15 boards. The console houses a well-appointed toilet.
The FasTrac hull is said to run faster and more economically than comparable designs. There is also a PowerHardtop, an Underwater PowerPlatform that lowers below the water and optional WakeSubs audio. In the Ultimate version the interior can be configured to your own taste.
The LS9 Surf measures 8.84 metres overall with a beam of 2.74 metres, and has a dry weight of approximately 3,450 kg. It has 409 litres of fuel, 57 litres of fresh water, a 42-litre holding tank and 1,130 kg of ballast. The engine is a Volvo Penta V8 with Forward Drive, rated at 380 or 430 hp.
