Since the early 1970s, the yard has built over two thousand yachts and applies that experience here to a vacuum-infused vinyl ester hull with a precisely fitted core. The result is a rigid, watertight hull designed to withstand the harsh conditions of northern waters.
The aft cockpit creates a sleek, modern silhouette and allows for a large sun deck at the stern. Below deck, there is accommodation for six guests in three cabins. The interior has a light, airy feel, with large hull windows and roof hatches that let in plenty of daylight, and is finished by hand.
With a displacement of 14,200 kilograms and 4,800 kilograms of ballast, the 451 is sturdy but not heavy. The keel is 2.10 metres deep and the mast rises 20.50 metres above the water. When sailing close-hauled, the yacht carries 102 square metres of sail.
When sailing downwind, you can hoist an 85-square-metre Code Zero, a 141-square-metre spinnaker or a 143-square-metre gennaker. This wide choice makes the yacht suitable for everything from coastal cruising to long-distance crossings.
