Here too, the Zero Keel is integrally laminated to the hull, without any keel bolts. In the impact zones, the yard applies at least twenty layers of composite fibre on top of one another, so that the hull can withstand a collision with a container or a tree trunk without immediately giving way.
The Alpha Rudder is sheltered behind a centreboard and rotates on three independent bearings. On deck, the hollow bulwark, the 80-centimetre-long scepters and the triple wire railings ensure that the crew can move safely forward even in heavy weather.
The solent rig combines a 121-square-metre genoa with a smaller 71.75-square-metre jib, set behind a 109.09-square-metre mainsail. The total sail area is 180.84 square metres, supported by 10,100 kilograms of ballast.
The displacement ranges from 27,500 kilograms when empty to 31,300 kilograms when fully laden. With 1,600 litres of fuel in three tanks and 950 litres of drinking water in two tanks, the range is considerable, complemented by spacious tanks for waste water and grey water.
