Kraken

Blue-water yachts without keel bolts, built for the open ocean.

Kraken Yachts was founded by the British sailor Dick Beaumont. He sailed more than 100,000 miles on his own 58-footer and gathered his experience in three books. Those lessons came together in the Kraken 66 'White Dragon', which was built for him and became the basis for the brand.

Its signature feature is the Zero Keel: the keel is an integral part of the hull and the ballast is encapsulated in the laminate, so no keel bolts are needed. The yachts are designed by New Zealander Kevin Dibley. Kraken is based in Bodrum, Turkey, and also builds in Poland.
