The design is by the Mannerfelt Design Team and features a deep V-hull with an integrated IRON Fender profile that runs around the hull on both sides. According to the yard, this profile dampens movement and resonance noise and lowers the centre of gravity. It is foam-filled and therefore puncture-proof, unlike the tubes of a RIB. On deck, there are raised seats by the console, a cockpit bench with a table and a sun deck at the bow.
The 827 is powered by a single petrol outboard engine with a maximum output of 450 hp. The standard engine supplier is Mercury, offering Verado V8 engines from 250 hp upwards. Independent sources cite top speeds of between 46 and over 60 knots, depending on the engine specification and load. The fuel tank holds 302 litres.
The model is available as an Open and a T-Top version, and there is also an enclosed variant, the 827 Coupe. The 827 is certified in CE design category C for nine passengers.
