About this boat
The Hallberg-Rassy 40C represents a major step forward in the 40-foot class. It combines interior comfort, sailing performance and aesthetics comparable to the larger 44-foot model, in a more compact hull. The saloon, aft cabin and galley are similar to those on the 44, whilst the cockpit dimensions are identical.

The galley is available in two versions: a large one or a ‘huge’ version with more worktop space, extra storage and an additional fridge with a door. The larger galley has space for a dishwasher and a microwave.
The aft cabin offers two berthing options: standard separate berths (one double, one single with a bench between them) or an optional centre berth with a bench on the starboard side and a vanity unit. This configuration may include a stern thruster.
The interior wood options are African khaya mahogany or light European oak. Retractable entrance panels fitted with gas springs are optional. Six hull windows, as on the 44, 57 and 64, provide plenty of light.
The hull shape features an upright bow for maximum sailing waterline, with an integrated bowsprit. Twin rudders provide control, whilst a heavy lead keel set in a deep keel box ensures stability in rough weather.
