A dual helm is available as an option alongside the standard tiller. The deep cockpit provides protection for the helmsman and measures 2.83 metres in length, 42 cm longer than the previous model. Twin rudders, similar to those on the 44, ensure controlled sailing in all conditions with less strain on the rudder and twin self-aligning bearings.

The deck layout is uncluttered, featuring an under-deck jib furler, flush hatches and concealed hatches. Electric winches and an anchor winch are optional without compromising headroom inside. Four skylights, six opening portholes and three hull windows provide light and ventilation.

The saloon has 2.00-metre sofas, positioned further aft than usual. The galley is situated off the main walkway and comes as standard with deep double sinks and a Corian worktop. The forepeak serves as the owner’s cabin with a 2.04-metre berth, whilst the aft cabin has a spacious double berth (173 x 142 cm). The wet room has good ventilation and a composite washbasin.

An alternative layout, ‘Edition Two’, offers one cabin instead of two, with more storage space, a larger galley and a larger wet room with a separate shower. The Hallberg-Rassy 340 was named Boat of the Year 2022 by Cruising World and nominated for European Yacht of the Year.
