The emphasis is on seaworthiness: according to the yard, the boat stays on the plane up to sea state 3, with waves of more than a metre, and the hull has no planing threshold, so you can head home at a good speed even in rougher weather.
A defining feature is the recessed cockpit. The low centre of gravity improves balance and stability, reduces turbulence around the helm and makes a dominant console unnecessary. As a result, the deck stays uncluttered and it is easy to move all the way around the boat. A heavy D-fender protects the hull when coming alongside.
According to Goldfish, the hull, with two steps and a 22-degree deadrise, is 25 to 30 per cent more economical than a well-designed traditional V-hull. The boat is built from vacuum-infused vinylester with a core of high-quality Divinycell, chosen to absorb repeated wave impacts at speed. Glass fibre and carbon together form the structure.
Power comes from outboard engines, which can be specified in the yard's 3D configurator. Options listed by Goldfish include a JL Bluetooth audio system, grip flooring in black or grey, a stowable Plexiglas table, a folding anodised anchor and a mooring package.
