It is ideal for owners looking for a foredeck cabin as their own, with aft cabins for guests or family, featuring remarkably spacious cabins for the 50-foot class, as well as a spacious tender garage and aft deck.
The designers at Judel/Vrolijk & Co have struck a balance between a modern freeboard height and maximum beam aft, which allows for a twin aft cabin layout with headroom throughout. The boat performs well in a variety of weather conditions, reaching nine knots close-hauled at an apparent wind angle of 30 degrees.
The 49CS is unique in retaining a forward leisure cockpit separate from the helm stations, which sets it apart from conventional twin-cabin designs. Twin steering wheels with a central mainsheet winch ensure safety, whilst the flat aft deck provides space for relaxation, with a swing-out transom for tender access and swimming.
