About Contest Yachts
A pioneer of series-built sailing yachts in the Netherlands.
Contest Yachts, founded in Medemblik by Ed Conijn, has been in existence for over 60 years and was one of the first Dutch yards to experiment with fibreglass, even before it became commonplace in yacht building.
From the first 600 Flying Dutchman dinghies to today’s luxurious cruisers: Contest still builds using the same vacuum-injection technique it started out with, and has grown into an established name with a truly family-oriented character.
