The BWA GTO 278 is an open RIB with a console from the GTO range, featuring ample storage space and an ergonomic layout. The eighth-generation GTO range was unveiled at the Genoa Boat Show in September 2025 and will be available from 2026.

The fibreglass hull measures 8.50 metres overall, with a CE length of 7.75 metres and a beam of 3.10 metres. According to the yard, it weighs around 1,200 kilograms.

The GTO 278 is designed for outboard engines. BWA recommends 225 hp, with a minimum of 150 hp and a maximum of 300 hp. The fuel tank has a capacity of 350 litres.

BWA states a capacity of eighteen passengers; no CE design category is specified. There are sleeping areas at the front and rear, with an extension for the rear sleeping area.

Standard equipment includes, amongst other things, a complete steering console, a shower system with a pressure booster, a bow with an electric windlass, an integrated swim platform and a table at the stern. The tube comes in Fabric Impression Military as standard.
