Italian RIBs ranging from five to over thirteen metres.
BWA is an Italian RIB brand whose roots date back to the late 1950s, during the period of Italy’s post-war reconstruction. In the 1960s and 1970s, the company moved from fully inflatable boats to models with a rigid keel, and in the early 1980s the first RIBs with a fibreglass hull were introduced. The America and California leisure ranges followed in the 1990s. Today, the brand is owned by Ribitaly srl in Milan, which states that there are more than 15,000 BWAs in service worldwide.
The current range comprises four lines. The GTO is the sporty core of the range and spans from approximately 5.4 to 10.8 metres, from the open 178 to the 358, with the 308C as the cabin version. The Premium range sits above this, ranging from approximately 9.7 to 12.4 metres, with an emphasis on finish and comfort. The Flyer is the largest cabin-equipped range, from the 11.25-metre F36 to the 13.55-metre F45, fitted with two outboard engines delivering up to two × 400 hp and accommodating sixteen people. In addition, BWA builds the Marshall workboats, ranging from approximately 4.5 to 9.3 metres.
