The hull is 14.36 m long, with a waterline length of 12.73 m and a beam of 4.39 m; at the waterline, this is 3.56. The hull has a central folding keel plus two centreboards at the stern, giving a draught ranging from 1.02 m to 2.48 m. The ballast consists of 3,800 kg of lead. Compared to the 44.2, this model has an aft deck with a swim platform and two steering wheels instead of one.

The kerb weight is 13,650 kg and the laden weight is 17,000 kg. The standard engine is a 50 hp Volvo Penta D2-50, with a D2-60, a D2-75 or a Yanmar 4JH57 or 4JH80 available as options. The fuel tank holds 635 litres and the water tank also holds 635 litres.

The sail plan comprises a mainsail of 45 m² and a genoa of 55 m², totalling 100 m². The mast is 17.5 m long.
