The First 44 forms the natural link between the First 36 and the First 53, combining performance with refined cruising comfort. Ship designer Roberto Biscontini, drawing on his America’s Cup experience, used countless simulations to achieve a powerful, well-balanced hull. The modern sail plan, featuring a slender mainsail and generous headsails, is complemented by two electrically operated ballast tanks that maintain optimum performance in changing conditions.
On board, three cabins and two bathrooms, finished with white lacquered surfaces, moulded wood and tasteful upholstery, offer plenty of space and a pleasant living experience. A transverse table in the saloon seats six guests with a view of the navigation corner, and the galley’s positioning enhances the sense of space. Four winches and a fixed centre sheave provide full control, whilst the aft-set mast contributes to lively and efficient sailing performance in all conditions.
