The hull is constructed using the multi-chine method, which ensures a refined displacement and a balanced distribution of pressure. This results in smoother handling in rough seas and better course-keeping on the open water. The yacht features an open cockpit, wide gangways and a saloon that flows out onto the outer deck. Inside are two cabins with a total of four fixed berths plus one extra berth.
The propulsion system consists of a built-in 100 hp diesel engine. With two fuel tanks, each holding approximately 350 litres, and a water tank of approximately 500 litres, the vessel is suitable for longer voyages. The air draft is 2.80 m and the draught 1.10 m, which gives the yacht access to most inland waterways.
With CE category B, the 40 OC is certified for inland waters, large rivers, the IJsselmeer and sheltered coastal waters. Its weight of 17,000 kg contributes to its smooth handling.
Babro Yachting builds the Tridente range to order in Sneek and tailors the layout to each client’s requirements. The yard also carries out refits, painting, repairs and maintenance.
