The steel displacement hull has a draught of 1.65 metres, deeper than that of the other Global Voyagers, and the vessel is classified as CE design category A for ocean-going vessels. This is the model with which the Sneek-based yard rounds off its own range.
The layout makes the difference clear. In addition to three guest cabins and two bathrooms, there is a separate crew quarters on board, something the smaller models do not offer. For those who cruise with a permanent crew on board, or undertake longer voyages where watch duties are shared, this represents a significant difference compared with the GV 1700.
Two Volvo D4 engines, each producing 225 hp, provide the propulsion. The vessel carries 3,000 litres of fuel and 1,200 litres of water on board, enabling it to remain self-sufficient for a long time. Everything about this design, from the steel construction to the tank capacities and the crew quarters, is geared towards long-term boating off the beaten track.
