Self-righting motor yachts, built to cross oceans.
Elling Yachts was founded in May 1997 with a clear goal: a series-built motor yacht under 15 metres capable of crossing the Atlantic Ocean. That goal was achieved in December 2008, when three Elling E4s made the crossing. The yachts are built by Elling Shipbuilding in Aalst aan de Maas, which cites more than forty years of experience in boatbuilding.
Characteristic of Elling are the self-righting hulls, reinforced with aramid fibre, and the choice of a single main engine for a low centre of gravity and a long range. The wheelhouse with a raised helm and a sliding roof in the hardtop replaces the flybridge. The current range consists of the E3, the E4 and the larger E6.
