The overall length is 8.50 metres, with a hull length of 7.80 metres and a beam of 2.80 metres. The total weight is 1,650 or 1,800 kilograms, depending on the version. There is a choice of a centreboard, a retractable keel or a fixed keel, with a draught when raised of 0.35 or 0.50 metres and a draught when lowered of 1.45 or 1.65 metres. The cabin accommodates four to six berths, with headroom of up to 180 or 185 centimetres.
The yacht has a mast measuring 9.90 metres and a sail area of 29 or 35 square metres, which can be supplemented with a gennaker measuring 34 to 38 square metres. The yard offers an optional inboard engine.
The S 26 falls within CE design category C, with a crew of four or six. The yard highlights the light interior and the spacious cockpit as key features of the S-line.
