The boat measures 15.50 metres overall, with a waterline length of 14.68 metres and a beam of 4.78 metres. The standard keel has a draught of 2.80 metres, with optional draughts of 2.60 and 2.35 metres. The cockpit is wider than on previous models and the deck runs straight across.
The sail area is 155 square metres. The propulsion system consists of a Volvo Penta D2 engine (50) with a saildrive, with an optional 75 hp engine. The displacement is 15,900 kilograms, with 4,850 kilograms of ballast in the keel.
The fuel tank holds 370 litres and the water tank 510 litres. The 50 has been certified by RINA in CE design category A for the open sea.
