Ryds recommends an outboard engine of 80 to 115 hp with a maximum engine weight of 185 kilograms, capable of speeds of 30 to 36 knots. The fixed fuel tank has a capacity of 82 litres.
The 550VI Sport is certified to CE design category C for five people.
Standard equipment on board includes a swimming ladder, fire extinguisher, set of cushions, echo sounder transducer, electric bilge pump, hydraulic steering, LED lanterns, windscreen and USB socket.
