Ryds recommends an outboard engine of 40 to 60 hp with a maximum engine weight of 115 kilograms, capable of speeds of 28 to 33 knots. The fixed fuel tank has a capacity of 25 litres.
The 490VI Sport is certified to CE design category C for five people.
Standard equipment includes, amongst other things, a cushion set, a sonar transducer, an electric bilge pump, hydraulic steering, LED lights, a cup holder, a windscreen and a USB socket.
