At 5.5 metres, the DL 550 is the largest model in the DL series and, according to Novurania, one of the most sought-after tenders for superyachts of thirty metres and above. The yard explicitly states that the model is suitable for day trips and excursions, and therefore for use that goes beyond simply shuttling between the yacht and shore. It can carry nine people.
The engine power reaches 130 hp with an outboard motor. With a kerb weight of 645 kilos and a fuel capacity of 83 litres, the boat remains relatively light for its length, which benefits acceleration. The 2.3-metre beam ensures a stable deck, even when everyone is standing on one side to help with boarding.
At the helm, you’ll find a windscreen and a leaning bolster with cleats. Other standard features include boarding steps, handrails on the port and starboard sides, LED deck and navigation lights, a non-slip floor and yacht-grade stainless steel fittings. The hull and deck are vacuum-bagged, using tubes made from Novurania Hypalon-Neoprene. The fuel capacity of 83 litres is the same as that of the DL 460, whilst the hull is almost a metre longer.
