The overall length is 3.96 metres, with a beam of 1.76 metres and a weight of 200 kilograms. The hull is of the Twinshell type, with internal dimensions of 102 by 308 centimetres.
The boat is designed for an outboard engine of up to 50 hp; Lomac recommends 40 hp. The transom height is 381 millimetres.
The Tender 400 has CE design category C and is approved for 7 people. The neoprene tube has 3 air chambers and a diameter of 48 centimetres.
Oars or a paddle, a pump and a repair kit are supplied as standard. Steering consoles (Olimpia, Briza, Grecale, Jockey Cruise and Jockey Pro Vibram) are available as optional extras.
