About this boat
The Damarin 582 is based on an original design dating back some 180 years, which was used in the English whaling industry. Above the waterline, the hull retains those traditional lines, whilst the underwater section features a modern design. This combination delivers perfect handling characteristics and excellent stability.

The power sloop runs just as well forwards as it does backwards and stays precisely on course. The hull is double-skinned, fully foam-filled and therefore unsinkable, making the 582 a safe choice for families boating on sheltered inland waters.
The open foredeck provides extra interior space, allowing for a two-metre-long berth. There are also spacious storage compartments, an ergonomically positioned helm and a concealed 35-litre fridge. The console on the opposite side can accommodate a sink and a hob.
The 582 comes as standard with a 12 hp Vetus petrol engine. For the same price, the yard supplies a 2.5 kW battery-powered propulsion system, equivalent to approximately 3.40 hp. A hybrid configuration with both propulsion systems operating in parallel is also possible. The specified power range is from 12 to 27 hp.
Since 2017, a version has been available with a through-hull rudder and a combined swim platform and trim tab. This version has a lower air draft of 0.78 metres, compared with 0.90 metres for the standard version.
