At 1.15 metres, the draught remains the same as that of the 1300 II, whilst the vessel is one metre longer. The steel yacht is in CE design category B and has been in production since 2013, with a pilothouse as a defining feature of the design.
That pilothouse provides an enclosed, sheltered helm at a raised position, with good all-round visibility. In inclement weather or outside the summer season, this proves its worth immediately. Below deck, there is space for three cabins and two bathrooms, meaning this model clearly offers greater sleeping comfort than the 1300 II. It can accommodate up to six people.
The engine remains the same as that of the smaller model: a 148 hp Perkins M150Ti. The vessel has a cruising speed of around 7.5 knots and can reach approximately 9.5 knots. With 1,200 litres of fuel and 800 litres of water on board, the range remains substantial. The 1400 II thus retains the series’ relaxed cruising character, but with more accommodation.
