Aquanaut has been building this yacht since 2013 and has awarded it a CE design category of B, meaning you can use it not only on rivers and lakes but also in coastal waters.
The aft cabin comprises two cabins with four berths and a bathroom. As the hull is almost half a metre wider than that of the 1300 AK, the interior looks and feels noticeably more spacious. The aft cabin is again separate from the foredeck, with the saloon and helm in between – a layout that works well on longer voyages.
The Perkins M225Ti delivers 209 hp, enabling the yacht to cruise at around 7.5 knots and reach a top speed of approximately 10 knots. The 1,200-litre fuel tank and the 800-litre water tank provide a generous range, befitting a yacht designed for multi-day trips. Speed is secondary to range and stability in this case.
