It is a steel cruising yacht with an aft cabin, built to CE design category B standards and therefore suitable for sea use. According to the database consulted, the draught remains at around 1.15 metres, which means that, despite its length, the vessel can still be used on shallower inland waterways.
The extra metres compared to the 1300 AK are mainly allocated to the stern and the cockpit. The aft cabin layout remains the same as on the smaller models: a secluded sleeping area aft, separated from the foredeck. This creates two clearly distinct living and sleeping areas, with the helm and saloon in between.
Aquanaut builds the Drifter CS on a semi-custom basis, which means that the layout and fittings are finalised in consultation with the buyer.
