Alukin recommends an outboard motor with a power output of 250 to 450 hp, fitted with an XL transom (25 inches), and specifies a maximum recommended speed of 45 knots.

The SCR 850 is certified to CE design category C for eight people. The forward cabin offers berths with storage space and natural light, whilst the aft cabin has additional berths between the seats.

A 30-centimetre-wide gangway with non-slip decking, handrails, bedding sets and three windscreen wipers are fitted as standard. The boat can be fitted out for trolling.
