On deck there are two helm seats and a large rear bench with three modular seats. A large storage locker offers room for fishing rods, wakeboards, bags and beach toys. Under the bench there is a 54-litre cool box, and the bolster has integrated storage.
The deep-V hull is made of fibreglass and is combined with a removable tube in neoprene/Hypalon or PVC/Strongan. The boat is built for a single outboard engine of up to 130 hp and has a built-in 100-litre fuel tank. The console tilts and has a spacious dashboard and a wraparound windscreen.
Standard equipment includes a battery master switch, a bilge pump, two self-bailers, two storage compartments with 12V and USB sockets, a swim ladder and navigation lights. Options include aft platforms, a bimini or T-top, a roll bar with ski pylon, a shower and Garmin navigation.
According to the brochure, the Open 5.5 has a length overall of 5.70 m and a beam of 2.54 m. The boat weighs 585 kg and may carry a maximum of 12 people in CE design category C. The maximum power is 130 hp. The interior length is 4.22 m and the tube has a diameter of 0.58 m.
