The Zar 79 SL Plus shares the hull and dimensions of the standard 79 SL, but is designed to offer greater on-board autonomy. The main differences lie in the console, which in this version is designed to accommodate a Porta Potti or marine toilet, and in the wider choice of Flexiteek 2G Easy deck covering. The design is inspired by the flagship Zar 85 SL.
The boat measures 7.90 by 2.86 metres and is certified to carry fourteen people. The cabin features a washbasin and an optional toilet; a U-shaped lounge sofa is available at the rear, and the wide console at the front provides seating with armrests. Whilst the standard version comes with front and rear cushions, the Plus model omits these in favour of other layout options.
The equipment includes stainless steel fittings, a 12- or 24-volt electric fridge, a two-burner gas hob, a shower system with its own tank, navigation and anchor lights, and a double swim platform with a telescopic ladder. The tubes have six watertight compartments and the boat is classified as CE design category C. The recommended engine power is between 150 and 250 hp, with a maximum of 300 hp.
