The layout comprises a forward cabin with two berths and a mid-cabin with three berths, a wheelhouse with a seating area and galley, and a cockpit with a corner bench. The deck is on a single level with a walkway running all the way round.
The recommended engine configuration is a single inboard engine of 400 hp or two engines of 300 to 400 hp each from the Volvo Penta D-series, running on diesel. The top speed is between 28 and 43 knots; the dry weight with a single engine is 6,700 kg.
Compared with the base model, the Explorer places greater emphasis on interior finish and comfort features, including an integrated cooler, an optional separate shower cubicle and trim assistance with automatic trim tabs as standard.
