The layout comprises two separate cabins, a wheelhouse with a seating area and a galley, with a continuous single-level deck. The Explorer version is designed with off-season use in mind, featuring tinted side windows, heated windows and extra-insulated hull walls.
The propulsion system consists of a single inboard engine from the Volvo Penta D-series, with an output of 270 to 400 hp, running on diesel fuel. The top speed is between 28 and 39 knots, with a dry weight of 4,400 kg.
As the dimensions and recommended engine options are the same as those of the standard 28, the main differences between this model and that one lie in the equipment and finish.
