The hull is 5.30 metres long and 2.20 metres wide, with a draught of 0.35 metres. The layout comprises a round cockpit with continuous bench seats, a helm on the starboard side and a sun deck at the bow. The weight without the engine is 450 kilograms.
An outboard engine is hanging from the transom. The yard specifies 10 hp as the minimum, 20 hp as the recommended power and 40 hp as the maximum. According to the yard, with 40 hp the boat reaches a speed of approximately 35 kilometres per hour. There is also a version with an ePropulsion drive system for quiet cruising.
The 530 XL is certified to CE design category D. The air draft is 0.90 metres, making the boat suitable for inland waterways with low bridges.
