The tubes have a diameter of 44 centimetres, are made from PVC fabric weighing 1,100 grams per square metre and are divided into 3 + 1 air chambers. According to the manufacturer, the set weighs 60 kilograms.
An outboard engine with a maximum power of 8 hp fits behind the windscreen. The load capacity is 450 kilograms.
Kolibri certifies the boat as CE design category D for 2 people on board.
When folded, the boat measures 115 by 60 by 40 centimetres. The manufacturer supplies the Explorer DXL as standard with an aluminium floor and, optionally, with an air deck, and mentions sliding benches and a 12-centimetre keel guard.
